Cricket is coming to my area (Portland) in about a week and I have a couple of questions.

I currently have Verizon and have upgraded over the years and have a couple of extra phones. LG VX3200 & VX6000 - I would like to set up one for my 16 year old - what would it take to get one working on Cricket?

And if I can get one to work with Cricket, can I use that phone to get started with them, or do I have to buy one of their phones first?

If do end up having to buy one of their phone first, could I use one of my extra phones on a second line with Cricket, or would I have to buy one of their phones to get another line started as well?

Getting voice to work on them should be pretty easy, but MMS, WAP, and BREW will be a different story. all you need to do is load the Cricket PRL on them and register the esn's with cricket. since they are verizon all it should take is *228 to activate them over the air.

You do not have to purchase a phone from cricket to open the account.
