I normally erabrace change but the new compensation is going to really hurt since I'm a premier dealer. I'm thinking about becoming a standard door so I can carry other products that will actually make money.
On a side note, I hear that the compensation varies by market so I may just be in one of the worse markets.
yes i agree that this new compensation is really goint to hurt dealers big time specially premier dealers..When they cut our profit margin on phones and offered 10% of payments we had to hire an extra person for payments so we dont loose any payment customers and now they want to reduce from 10 to 8% which is rediculous..
What have y'all been making on the back end with the Variable incentives? I've only recently been able to hit my ARPU and get that bonus! That EXTRA money being taken away sucks. And yes change sucks! But wireless is all about CHANGING. I assume if your on this forum than you actively Flash or buy and sell flashed phones??? So whats the problem? Its not like Cricket has had any inventory to sell lately!
Don't ever trust you business in a "Branded" name...Cricket wont help you make money and survive. This CHANGE in crickets compensation is due in part to the "Dirt bag" dealers that Flip like crazy or flat out activate fictitious accounts in order to get their rebate check nice and fat. For those dealers this will be a VERY hard transition
Ive been with Cricket since the beginning and have seen change in comps but not this bad. We will have to double our sales to make what we were. I guess its more caffine to boost productivity or sale all high end phones, alone with refurbs and flashing. You have your customers who want high end phones but the most of Crickets customer base is low to mid phones.
At least you get 10% other markets only get 8%... With no activation fees.... this means when a customer brings in the own flashed or old cricket phone all the dealer gets is 8% of the first months payment.... thats only $3.60 i would of gotten $2 on the payment anyway so this means I get $1.60 instead of $15.00 activation fee... thats big!!!! I hear there going to be alot of dealers still fliping just not customers there stores...
They dont want any independents anymore in my city. It's been like that for awhile now. If you chose to keep selling other carriers, then they built a premier right across the street. If they really take the activation back, I hope to see alot of premiers flip
Its been that way for a while here in our market. I have a hard time even finding anyone to flash or any other work for that matter. It really sucks being in a market that has all premier dealers there is no competition. All this is because we are in a aws network and there is no money to be made if Cricket takes all the intensives for the third and second party sellers.........
