cricket phone to jump mobile and aim question

If I have a cricket phone that I want to use on Jump mobile, do I have to go through one of the cricket centers or can I do that over the Jump activation line?

Also, the phone I'm thinking of getting is either the KX16 (candid) or the KX160 (xcursion) does anybody know if either of those phones come with the aim service installed? Thats a feature I would really like, since jump has the free texts, would be nice if I had my buddy list on the phone.

Thanks

I ended up with a slider remix, but why isnt aim installed on any of these new phones? A friend had an audiovox 8910 and I remeraber it having aim, and on the cricket site their faq talks about aim on hanRABets. Why would the old phones have it but not the new ones?

i used to have an audiovox 8910 and it does NOT have aim. maybe your friend had the phone flashed over from another service? none of the phones that cricket offers have aim in them. the aim that the cricket website refers to is text message based, and is referred to on aol as IM forwarding. There is a way to view a shorted version of your buddy list, but it is different than the regular aim.

Nope, it was an original cricket bought from a corporate store. I already have IM forwarding setup on my aim, but how can I view the shorted version of my buddy list like you say?
