cricket insurance policy on cell phone?

Hi need to know if anyone knows about Cricket cell phone insurance that i have on my cell what does the $5 month cover ????? is anyone familiar on it??? someone said today that i would have to pay $80 if anything happened to my phone why am i paying for this insurance then????HELP
