Cricket in Primm?

I just got a new Spex phone. The person I bought it from, as well as one person on the forums right before launch were *positive* that it would work here, and I just wanna know if there is something I can do to get a signal. I have already power cycled, and I can't use *228 because I'm not in coverage. Help? Suggestions?
 
i don't think that phone had the correct prl for the vegas market at initial launch. you would need to manually load the prl onto it. a cricket corporate store should be able to do that for you!
 
ok. I'll check it out when I go into town tonight. Are you sure it'll work in Primm? The coverage map doesn't actually look like coverage goes all the way out to stateline?

EDIT: Also would it be possible if I went into Jean (about 10 miles away) where I get signal, I could do *228 and get the Primm prl?
 
Again. Can anyone verify? The person I just talked to at customer service said that there is not coverage out here. I really need to find out...
 
I had already checked that. That's why I asked in the first place. And when I asked about it, I was told by Woof on here and the rep in the store that it would be covered 'for sure' and I even thought I saw some people I work with using the Spex. I musta been wrong though.
 
Primm was supposed to be covered. Thats what I was told prior to launch. I have an email out to one of our engineers and will post when I get more info.
