Looking at their website there is an option to add on a 30 minute roaming package to any plan for $5 a month.

I also read the "40 carriers" thing. Are there really 40 carriers left in the USA? I thought they had all been gobbled up by the big guys by now.

In this market they had to compete with Pocket Wireless thats the reason for the plans having so much for so little but when the merger deal goes through with this company it will change the plans as well. Cricket has test markets right now for different things, different rate plans, lower priced phones but no first month free but free activation. if everything goes as planned look for after the merger deal finalizes (4-7 Months) that all the test will be done and for all the markets to be the same.

they are still being competitive with Pocket until the merger is finalized.they don't want customers to jump ship to Pocket but then pick them back up again a few months from now when there is no more Pocket. some people will stay on the older plans, some will upgrade to the new ones for the new features. Here in this market area there probably be some upset customers. no telling when the whole have to pay for the first month part.

That's how much I pay too,except for the caller id part (I thought CDMA networks couldn't do caller id) but I also get Internet, comes out to like 31.50 every month... I love cricket....
I'm thinking about getting the html data plan, anybody recommend it? What are the speeRAB?
