hmmm... i'm pretty sure i had read about cricket planning to do this a while back... but i guess this makes it possible? my understanding was they already owned spectrum there (actually the whole SE us except for in florida)... oh well i guess maybe they needed more spectrum.

Leap didn't have any spectrum licenses for the Savannah BTA before the Hargray deal.

fyi cricket is finally launching 'cricket' service in savannah on oct 14th. since this spectrum was picked up through aquisition and not an AWS auction a tri-band phone will not be required. that means all you savannahans will be able to flash over phones and joi us in the cool kiRAB club
