Hi, Ive been trying to breed crickets for several months and have not produced one baby cricket yet.
not sure why, so ill my explain my setup and hope someone can point it out.

Main Cage 25gal fishtank with screen lid. lots a cardboard fluckers food and water restocked when needed. large trey of soil bought from petsmart. kept in room with heater @ 80degrees. 100 Crickets Fed off and restocked all the time

Incubator: 10gal fish tank with soil treys in it under heat lamp @ 90 degrees

I mist all the soil maybe twice a day
sometimes it dries out because i'm not around to tend to is is this bad?
is there an irrigation system or something that somebody has rigged up?
Should i put some sort of lid over the soil to keep the water in?
Is it the soil maybe i should use sand or something?

thanks
Feeding 2 bearded dragons as well :)
