ok. what is a CalComp J88B?

2) you can spout release dates till your blue in the face, but even if it did come from cricket it's not firm until it is actually released and shipping, (and even then sometimes they get pulled)

The Calcomp J88B is supposed to be an an economy hanRABet that is going to be priced ever cheaper tham the Starcomm and the K132. Who knows how many problems this phone is going to have.

WOW
your so positive about the product.

i refrained from posting this earlier, but did you know the 7025 actually has the lowest failure rate (read percentage) among any of the phones that were being sold during its life? you might see a lot of returns on it, but that's because it is by far the highest selling phone cricket ever had. in the 14 months cricket carried this model over 1 million were sold.

you can bad mouth it all you want but this phone was a huge success for cricket.

All I can tell you is that nurabers don't lie. Here in Rochester, NY, the whole market had a unusually high amount of problems with this phone--all related to charger problems and screens going dead. Hell, it wasn't unusual at all for my employees to find them DOA right outta the box. The management at Cricket (from Regional VP down to the Operations Manager) all said that this phone was nothing but problems. I highly doubt your facts above about failure rate being the lowest, considering that Cricket just lowered the insurance deductible to only $35 on the Starcomm 8615 & the new Starcomm 7026. This has to be some sort of deal between Cricket & Starcomm in order to keep the customers happy. UT Starcomm sucks--period!

i had less than 1/2 a percent DOA in the box. The issue with the charger port is known, and it comes down to customer abuse breaking the solders on the port. with regarRAB to the screens... more people have brought me back cracked lcd's than screens that were faulty for some other reason.
