Cricket and Roaming agreements

I'm new to this environment so I'm not quit up to speed on how things work.

I know that Cricket operates in parts of 20 different states (Funny thing, their closest service area to their San Diego office is 300 miles nort East).

Anyway if Cricket gets a roaming agreement with Verizon per say what does that mean to them as a company? Do they get access to all the verizon towers, or just select towers? Also do they pay so much a year for the agreement, or is it basically so much for every minute a cricket subscriber talking using a Verizon tower?

san diego launches sometime this year hopefully, q1 07 at the latest.

cricket does have roaming agreements with several companies. i don't know what the agreement is that cricket has. but for cricket customers it costs $.59 a minute to use travel time (roaming), at least thats how much it is here.
