Cricket and International Text Msgs

Obviously it works to Mexico and back as far as international text messages go. Anyone know of any other countries work internationally? Anyone know of any plans to add more countries we are able to send text messages to?

How did you come up with the .15c text message to other countries? Theres got to be a list of which countries it works to, I know it works for mexico for sure, I have used it and they specifically mention it. However, texts to other countries are silent, they dont say anything about it at all and the people who work at the stores are clueless. If you have any specific information I would appeciate it.
 
well, i don't know how much more speicific i can be. i copied and pasted out of the e-mail i received minus the recurring "5 Confidential/Proprietary " lines. it says to refer to the ild page at mycricket.com. no one knows which countries/carriers it works with, but since sms is pretty much standardized, i'd imagine it will work with most countries that any other carrier works with.

Thanks for the posted info. I just find it hard to beleive a smaller provider like Cricket and the fact they're CDMA can just txt to any country. I have Cingular on another line and I cant even txt to all destinations and carrier's. Cricket's info is just a little to generic for me. I called customer service and they couldnt tell me, the guy started reading the international long distance rate. Calling somewhere and having an agreement for text messaging to work are to different things. I just sent a text message to Peru from my bro's cellphone. I will let you know if it works. Maybe we should start a SMS international thread like the T-Mobile forum has for people to report which countries do and do not work.

*UPDATE*
I was able to successfully msg a TIM phone in PERU. So Peru works.
