CRF250X good bike for trail riding?

I am looking at getting a 2005 CRF250X and just had a few questions:
1. Do they have good power, say, compared to a KLX300?
2. I do a little bit of trail riding and mucking around on the farm, what would the maintenance be ie engine rebuilds?
3. Are there any major problems with the bike?
