So I am on okcupid, (a free dating site), and have been messaging this guy back forth for only a week. I basically joined to make friends rather than to meet people to date; at least, I want to be friends before I date anyone.
But anyway, we chatted online for the first time LAST NIGHT, and today he sent me a message saying: “Heeey! Yesterday was nice, I preferred chatting with you like we did, instead of messaging. You said you wanted to see how things go and I think we should come up with a date to meet up, if it's ok with you. It's just that you really seem like my type- smart, cute, sense of humor, in shape, kind, and laidback. We'll see how things work out. You won't regret meeting me...So let me know what you would like to do. If you wanna keep chatting for a little more, than that's fine by me too.”
Wtf?isn’t that really creepy, considering we’ve only talked for a week? All I meant when I said I wanted to see how things go was that I wanted to keep talking for a while and be friends first, but this seems WAY too forward to me. Also, he is 19 and I am 22, so it would take me a little more time to decide whether to have a relationship with him, if the situation were even to reach that point. Should I just block him, or am I overreacting? Also, if I do block him, should I reply with a message saying something like, “That was creepy” or should I just block him without saying anything? Haha..thanks!
