credit check for the military?

i have bad credit. How worried should I be about it? I would like to join the navy to become an MA, or be in Intelligence. I understand the security clearance, but how much of a role does credit actually play in obtaining these achievements. Thank You
thanks a lot everyone...and just in case i was misunderstood by some i meant would i need to worry more for the security clearance of being in Intelligence or becoming a MA thanks again
 
I don't know how much consideration they actually put on your credit score, but if your credit is low due to outstanding debts that have not been made current, you won't be able to enlist.
 
there is no credit check to join the Navy lol sorry but I had to laugh seriously you will be fine there is no credit check.
