Creationists, in past geological history there have been diseases before

humans. How did they come about? Last night, I was watching a show about dinosaurs on NOVA and about how this scientist was looking at these mosquitoes preserved in amber. This scientist saw these mosquitoes carrying diseases under his microscope such as malaria and other deadly diseases that killed many dinosaurs. The dinosaurs were already having to deal with a lot of climate change because volcanic activity was high around that time.

Also, reading the Bible Satan couldn't have created diseases because humans weren't created yet and it was before Satan rebelled from God and caused imperfection.

My question is, is if God meant for there not be diseases and Satan hasn't rebelled yet then, why were there diseases back in the dinosaurs?

Also, regarding the theory that an asteroid and ended the dinosaurs world is just a prediction, isn't it?
You are right, I do need to do more research. I'm just really confused.
I do believe in dinosaurs FYI. I believe in them because archologists have found bones and perserved dinosaur excerments.

No, The Chicxulub impact crater off of the the Yucatan peninsula and the layer iridium real wold-wide ( in Italy) is proof that a meteor.asteroid did impact the Earth at the Cretaceous (K)-Tertiary time. That is not a prediction. It's a been an established fact for 29 years. I read the original Science article by the Alvarez's.

I listened to part of the Nova show, but I didn't catch the part about malaria plasmodiums being found in the mosquitoes. That's fascinating. I'll have to tape the re-run on Saturday, although I may have taped Tuesday's showing.

I'm not a creationist.

You got the thumbs down because you did NOT put down the facts. The Earth is 4.5 to 4.6 BILLION years old. This has been PROVED many times by radiometric dating of rocks and meteorites. I don't care how many creationist sites you cite, they are WRONG.

A creationist doesn't believe that the Earth is billions of years old and that dinosaurs predated humans. Creationists believe that Men and dinosaurs were here at the same time. Creationists believe that Death and disease entered the world at the Fall of Adam. Creationists believe that Satans rebellion took place before the creation. Creationists would also believe that it was the flood that would have killed off most of the dinosaurs and changed climates and land masses. Creationists believe that dating methods used by scientists are flawed.

I think you just proved to yourself that the Christianity doesn't make sense and is completely false mate.

Well done, I'm proud of you. =)

Some don't believe in the existence of Dinosaurs, while some believe they existed at the same time as man.
(ChomP! Yummy, this Adam guy tastes Delicious!)

Of course then have those who are more excepting of science, but I guess that means they can't be creationists then.

The Bible doesn't specify at which point in time God cast Satan out of Heaven.

Also, creationists believe that man lived side-by-side with dinosaurs in the Garden of Eden in peace. It was only after mankind's fall that we were exposed to things like disease. If we lived at the same time as dinosaurs, then disease did not exist before we did, it existed (roughly) as long as we have.

Your logic is faulty, do more research.

Maytoi, I only answer this because you put yourself as my friend and therefore it comes in my mailbox. I usually only keep to the scientific sections of Y!A. Anyway,

Creationism is about validating the Bible. Period. It would be pointless to reason it. Consider this:

How did the Genesis come to? Did God tell Moses how to write his first book? Imagine this:
- "God, how did you create the universe?"
- "Well, Moses, it's quite complex: First, everything was in a single point, 14.7 billion years ago then the plasma ..."
- "Wait a second here! Do you expect me to write that? How do you expect analphabetic nomads of the Middle-East to understand that? If I want my book to be published, it must be in a language they understand! Can't we just say: The universe was created in ... say, six days?"
- " ... Okay with me!," answered God.

Not even the heliocentricity was explained in the Bible. If it was, do you think people would have read it? Do you think the Bible would still exist today?

When my four-years-old grand-daughter asks me why the sky is blue, I answer: Because God painted it blue. It's shorter and much easier than to go explaining Rayleigh scattering, the nature of the electromagnetic force we call light, etc.

Religion is a good thing. We need religion. But anyone who tries to mix ancient beliefs with science is dangerously wrong.

You worded this kinda bad but here goes. Okay, God created free will (gave it). Satan got the big head, and rebelled. This was sin. When Adam and Eve sinned, God punished humanity by removing his protection, and teaching a lesson. And the thing about dinosaurs etc, Geologist have recently found that their guesses on how old the earths crust is, specifically in canyons etc, has been way off. Some scientist are saying that instead of millions of years, some crust is actually only 10000-20000 years old, follow?

Edit-Lol I got a thumbs down, and I put down facts Wth?

To make the arguments for either Creation or Evolution remotely plausible, it's all or nothing. There is no middle ground.

If you favour Creation, then you'll accept that dinosaurs lived alongside humans long after the fall, therefore it is not surprising to find diseases in mossies that were biting dinosaurs

If you favour Evolution, then you'll accept that dinosaurs lived and died long before humans existed, therefore there was death, disease and pain before it could possibly have been influenced by human action and 'the fall' is at best metaphorical or traditional, but not literal.

There is no plausible middle ground "God used evolution to create the world and humans but it was sinless and pain free before the fall." Any argument like this is merely attempting to integrate two conflicting theories, and it just doesn't stack up. Don't try and sit on the fence, coz it'll give you a wedgie :P

God created the Universe 14 billion years ago, more or less, by saying, "let there be light". Since then, he has pretty much left us on our own.

Satan has infultrated the bible and led the devoted astray by indoctrinated them with such nonsense like the universe was created 5000 years ago so that those who should see the light don't.
