I have this wireless adapter (( D-Link DWA-510 Desktop adapter )) I used it to create a WIFI for me in my room to connect through it on my iPhone but that was on Vista.
Since Windows 7 I wasn't able to connect to the Ad-Hoc I've created and even I can't find it.
BTW I share my LAN connection so I can connect to the Internet on the Laptop and iPhone.
