I'm gay and I had a relationship with another guy who's bi for about a year. We broke up bc of the distance that was going to be between us bc we go to different colleges. He later dated a girl and broke up with her bc of family issues. I still love him, should I let him know it? Not in an attempt to get back together but just to let him know that I'm here for him always.

I know this isn't about sex but, I had to get your attention.

I think you should contact him. Sounds like you broke it off amicably the first time. Just make sure he knows that you're there for him as a true friend. I think you should, for old time's sake. I'm sure he'll be glad to hear from you.
 
It would be really nice if you let him know that you're always there for him. So, to answer your question, yeah. You should let him know that you still love him, and that you're always there for him.
