Crashed my bike and question about warranty?

If you bought it at a good bike shop (and the damage isn't too bad), they might re-true your wheel. If you damaged your frame or totally taco'd the rim, it's on you. The bike manufacturer won't rebuild or replace the frame/bike every time you ride beyond your ability & destroy it.

If you did ruin the frame, next time buy a cheaper one or know the trail before you go full out. Metal isn't as easily damaged in a crash like carbon.

I have a Ti frame just because I always worry about carbon's impact survival.

Edit: It depends what the shop will charge you. They won't help with the frame, but might true the wheel for free (up to them).

I once had a nube hit me head on & mess up his front wheel (cheap bike). I took him to my bike shop & they re-trued his wheel for free since it was pretty easy & I was a good customer.

Update: Good luck finding a lawyer. You took responsibility for any injuries or damage when you rode on an unpaved trail. Any public trail is open to those who, upon entry, accept that there is a risk of injury caused by natural or man-made obstacles. If you do something stupid & die, the city & state is not responsible. In fact, if they have to rescue you, they can bill you for their expenses.

If you feel you're that incompetent on a trail, might I suggest an exercycle. Just keep your toes out of the spokes.

Ouch what a horrible accident.
There might be no way they can repair it for free unless something malfunctioned during normal riding. You can push your luck and lie that the breaks failed on you but you will have to prove it. (try to find a way that it was tampered or something) <<<That would be the EVIL and illegal way. Plus, they will likely know that it was your own neglect, not the bike.
If you do it the honest way, you can have the frame inspected for cracks or damages. If the frame is in good condition, you will likely be looking at a $700 dollar replacements. (Around 150-300 for the fork, around 150 dollars for the front wheel, and if your shifters are need to be replaced, it could cost up to $350)
Getting much cheaper replacements could save you 150-200 dollars or so.

I was going at about 30mph when I didnt see the boulder on the bike path in time. I crashed into the boulder the size of a basketball with my front wheel. Its banged up and badly dented.

I have a Specialized Roubaix right now. It cost me over $2,100 with tax and clipless shimano road pedals and shoes.

The tire is flat. The wheel is out of true. Im worried the carbon fiber frame is cracked.

I only had this bike for two weeks!!!!

Would a warranty cover this?

the chain is dislodged and needs to be put back in place. Both of my shimano 105 shifters are scratched up badly. It also looks damaged. the front shifter looks like it might have internal damage.

i literally flipped over on my bike. Landed on my head and lucky i didnt crack my head open.

This is a carbon fiber bike that i only had for just two weeks. I am taking this to the bike shop tomorrow but hopefully they dont charge me anything?

the front wheel is badly out of true, and i notice a bunch of dents on the rim. Tire has gone flat. I havent got my first month maintenance for this bike yet. Would they fix my bike for free?
would they charge me for fixing the bike? i only had this bike for two weeks and havent taken it in for the first month free tune up.
I am suing the friggin city for having a boulder on a bike path. somebody else could have got hurt. this time it was me.

well seeing as how I work in a shop and we just had someone try the same thing you are attempting to do.....NO and maybe, but I wouldn't count on it!
What the Hell are you doing on a bike "path" with a Roubaix where there are boulders the size of a basketball?!......Personally to me this sounds like a classic case of stupidity on your part and now you want the dealer to "eat" the cost of YOUR MISTAKE?.....Not likely going to happen. There is an old saying that goes something like this: " Sh*t happens!" and it just happened to you.
Are you sure you didn't buy more bike than you can handle?....I see this all the time too. Check the paint on the carbon frame for cracks, if there are any then you have compromised the frame and I wouldn't use that frame anymore- otherwise the frame is likely ok. I think you are going to eat the cost of repair on this one and Specialized will not likely eat the cost of a frame and warranties mean free of manufacturer defects on components for up to 5 years and frame (CF) for up to 5 years, maybe longer depending on the bike. There was NO defect to the bike or its components and they will tell you that if they are smart.
Please do not try to manipulate the system to work in your favor ....this burns my ass. Sorry to be blunt but I see kids buying $500-900 mountain bikes thinking they are made for FR/DH and can take 5-9' jumps with low end wheels and they bring them back thinking we will warranty the wheel when it is so obvious to us that it is NEGLECT!......sometimes we do to keep a customer. Personally I think you need to take about 98% of the responsibility for this one!

Edit: if you are going to get sue happy and file a suit against the city for a rock on a public right of way good luck! you need to suck it up and either slow down or ride with your eyes wide open. You will loose that lawsuit!

I don't think any warranty covers neglect by the owner. It was your fault you crashed.Don't even bother taking it to the bike shop. The bike is beyond repair.Sorry.
