I just saw this film on DVD yesterday and all I can say is OH! MY GOD!. It was so good! I went from hating the characters to liking them and then feeling nothing for them. The only really decent character was the locksmith.

The most interesting part for me was the scene with Ryan Philipe's character...when he kills the black guy not long after perventing another black guy from getting arrested/killed.

I really loved the end where the black lady turns out to be as racist as Matt Dillon's character.

The whole story is so sad. :( :cry:
 
I saw it in the cinema, thoguht it was soooooo good!!

I cried at so many points.

The story is so layered and feels claustaphobic in parts, and I felit really sad after watching it.

You wonder how there can be so much hatred in the World.
And where we can start to try and rebuild???
It feels a bit useles..

Great film, and stunning acting, I though Matt Dillon was amazing, and so was Thandie Newton.
 
I loved this film as well. I liked the way the characters had hidden depths that were revealed later on the film, and the way their stories intertwined with each other. I'm definitely watching it again on DVD.
