Hi there, I had to do a movie review for Crash... this is what I did, and I only got a 7/10. I need to get it up to at least a 9 and I was wondering how I could accomplish that?
Crash
Paul Haggis’ movie “Crash” was a dark, yet so very realistic movie about racism in Los Angles. The cop...Aka, Matt Dillon’s famous quote in this movie “You think you know who you are? You have no idea.” This quote relates so well in the movie Crash. There are many twists, turns, and surprises, in this movie; you’re guaranteed to be on the edge of your seat. The director gives you the truth in this movie, like it or not this is going on in the real world. I give the movie a full 5 out of 5 stars, the acting was good, as was the story line. In my opinion it is a movie worth watching.
I like that Crash has many different plots, it made me pay attention and not lose focus. It also keeps everything interesting. I like how all the people in this plot correspond with each other in some way or another throughout the entire movie. The actors all did a really good job at playing their roles. It was really smart of them to include some really well-known actors, such as Sandra Bullock (Jean Cabot) and some not so known actors like Howard Fong (store owner). Sandra Bullock played in some very popular films such as Miss Congeniality, “While You Were Sleeping,” and “Speed.” Sandra Bullock has won a couple of awards for being such a s good role to play before acting in Crash. You cannot tell as he does well, but nobody would recognize his name, had he not been in this movie.
The places they used to film this movie were fantastic. Most places were kind of dark and grungy, matching what is happening in the movie. They were all good places that captured the attention of the person watching the film. The places they filmed at made it easier to get lost in the movie, and it made it easy to put yourself in the situations.
Most things that happen in this movie are a shock as; nobody saw any of them coming. Take when the “innocent” cop shot the innocent black man for example. When this happened, it surprised absolutely everyone. Also when the “bad” cop violated the woman, and then saved her afterwards. Everyone thought he would leave her to die, but he ended up saving her. Nobody ended up being who they thought they were which could be both good and bad. It was a well written, well directed, and well acted movie. I highly recommend you watch it.
