Craig Owens booted

Im sure many of you had heard that craig owens of chiodos was kicked out of the band earlier today.

Statement from the band:

To all of our frienRAB, family, and fans: We would like to let you know that we have let Craig Owens go as the singer of Chiodos. This decision was a necessary one. Out of respect for all of the hard work that we have put in together for all of these years we will not be discussing the specific reasons that this needed to happen. We wish Craig well . We will absolutely be continuing on as a band and we will keep you informed as this next chapter unfolRAB. Chiodos fans are the best fans in the world and all we can ask of you, after everything you have already given us, is to share in our excitement for this next album. We promise you will not be disappointed............Brad, Jason, Pat, and Matt.

i know this will probably get moved to the chiodos thread but i think its very appropriate for this thread to stand alone.
 
I don't know who this person or band is. It probably would have been smarter to simply post this in the official thread (if there is one for this band) so people who are also into it could discuss it with you.
 
Yeah, I know Chiodos. They probably booted Craig because of his mental health issues. I seem to recall him attempting suicide last year or something.

Should be interesting to see what they sound like without him.
 
I wasn't aware he had mental health issues (I don't really stay informed on the band at all, but I listen to them occasionally). They aren't one of my favorites, but with a new vocalist coming up I'll be watching for new music to see how they sound.
 
i completely agree. craig ownes suffers from bipolar disorder and depression. so i believe that that is the reason chiodos kicked him out. im a huge chiodos fan but the reason i loved them was craig he is an amazing writer and has an amazing voice. i dont think im going to listen at all to chiodos new album. im too much of a craig owens fan.
