Court summons in wrong county?

I got a call from my sister yesterday regarding certified mail which had to be picked up at the post office by me from county court, "most likely a hungry creditor." I moved from that address 2 years ago to a totally different county and changed employers. I've closed all my bank accounts and live cash only, not attempted credit checks, not gave out the identity of my employer, nor dealt with any reporting institution. Should I even care about this misinformed summons?
 
A summons is usually hand-delivered (served) by a sheriff or process server. A real summons will contain a court case docket number and usually a confirmed court case docket number. A registered letter from a debt collector implying legal action is not a summons.

If this is a real summons and you don't show up in court at the appointed time, then this could be a disaster for you....Not showing up in court is the worst thing you can do...as it usually leads to a default judgement for 3 times the actual amount of the debt. The judgement could allow wage garnishment.
