I was pulled over today (12/11/09) . I was drving with a suspended license without knowing, my tag had expired a year ago was suspended and I had forgoten to renew it. To make thigns worse my insurance also had expired. The cop keep accusing me saying I did about my license but I do have the clearance form from when I paid my tickets. Also my windshield had a minor crack and I also got a ticket for that.
So the things I got citations for are:
- Driving with a suspended license (I did not know. My tickets are paid and I have proof, Just i wasnt reinstated that I didnt know)
-Broken Windshield
-Expired Tag
-Expired Insurance
I wasnt arrested but have a promise to appear in court. I plan to go to court. My question is when is my court date?
I have to go out of the country tomorrow to visit some family my plan was to come be back on the 4th of january but I dont know if I have to come back ealier. I really dont want a warrant issued against me for not presenting myself to court. I do plan to attend and fix this thing as soon as posible.
Anyone know whats the usual days I takes till you get a court date? can I check it somewhere online? Please help this is urgent as I have a plane to catch in a couple hours and might have to consider staying.
