Couple of quick questions from a new N95 owner

First off, I must say that this thing is absolutely amazing.

That said, I haven't been able to figure a few things out...

1. Regarding the gps, it asked me initially if I would like to save info to the phone or to my memory card. Since the memory card wasn't in the phone at the itme, it saved it to the phone. I imagine this is a bad idea since it will save a lot of information and would prefer to save it to the phone (i think)...

soooo.

a. Is it ok to save map info to phone or is memory card better
b. if saving to memory card is better, how do i tell it to start doing that? I can't find it in options


2. How do I go about setting up an email account on the phone? It has mailbox in the message center. Is that where I should put the email information?

3. With the internet browser, is there anyway to make everything fit on the screen at once? With my k750i running opera mini, it would shrink everything so it fit on the screen as if it were a page. If that makes sense. With the n95, i have to scroll left and right on the pages I noticed that i can zoom out to 50% but even then, i still am only seeing about half the page at once... any thoughts

4. With GPS, it asks me if i would like to download voice commands... now, that would be great since i paid 11 bucks for a month of nav. However, when it asks if i want to download them, i say yes only to have it tell me there is an error. Anyone know what i might be doing wrong?

Hmmm, I'll try:

1. Yes, use the memory card.

2. Yes, go into Mailbox, add new. It's a regular POP setup, so you would use the same settings as you would to check that email in Outlook.

3. I don't think there is. You can install Opera Mini or Mobile onto the N95, both of which will reformat the page. Mobile is more feature-rich.

4. Helps to know what error it's giving you.
 
I believe the phone will default to the memory card if one is inserted when you open Maps. There is certainly no setting to select between phone or memory card.
 
for Question 4, i had this same problem, i had to download the voice commands over WiFi and then everything was fine, but when i tried getting them through T-Zones thats when i got my downloading error, try wifi
 
where did you go to download the voice commands over wifi? I just opened wifi, established a connection, then went into gps, told it to simulate the rout, then, when it asked if i wanted to downlaod the voices, i said yes, and i got the same error...


any suggestions
 
Once you establish a wifi connection, specify wifi when you open the app. Then the voice download will be possible. TZones will not work to download that file.
