couple astronomy questions please help?

Emission nebulae are one of the 5 types of nebulae.
Emission nebulae are clouds of plasma, that give off different colors. These clouds are extremely hot, unlike normal nebula. The clouds are powered by a nearby star, which is makes the dust and clouds very hot and radiating.

Some methods used to study interstellar dust, is to observe through telescopes. They some times enhance the picture to see the real color of the nebula. Other methods, sometimes study the stars inside the nebula.

An emission nebula is a cloud of interstellar dust and gas
where the atoms in the gas are excited by radiation from nearby
stars and therefore the gas shines or emits light.
Thus the name, Emission nebula. This is in contrast to a
reflection nebula wherein the gas and dust shines by reflecting starlight.
Astronomers use telescopes, both visual light and radio as well as a variety
of instruments that detect other wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation to
study these objects.
