I'm taking a degree in psychology and I want to do counselling once i've completed it but I want to help soldiers, so does the British Army offer a counselling scheme for their service men and women? If so how do I become part of the scheme?

Yes there is counselling available to army personnel at all times and especially on return from operational theatres where we serve to give a chance to discuss (if we want to) experiences etc. This seems to be getting bigger these days due to the pace of operational commitments which can only be a good thing. Im not sure how you would get involved with this but i would suggest looking up the Army welfare service and im sure they could give you some advice. :-)
