Could you theoretically pass a drug test if...?

Could you theoretically pass a drug test if, in the days leading up to it, you ate almost nothing? I'm talking about testing for marijuana because the chemical that is tested for, THC, is stored in fat cells. I ask this purely out of curiosity; I do not intend to, nor need to, do this myself. Thank you.
