Could you take General Chemistry lecture and lab separately for Pre-Med requirement?

I've taken General Chemistry I at my local community college and it had both the lab and lecture component in the class. It was worth 4 credit hours. I was interested in General Chemistry II as an online lecture and lab component but I'm having a hard time finding both in ONE course. So I've found a lecture only course and a lab only course but both are offered through SEPARATE institutions. The lecture is worth 3 credit hours and the lab is worth 1. So according to most medical schools they require 8 hours of Chemistry. So if I do the online route it would still equal 4 hours but is that considered the same as my community college chemistry class? If anyone could help me out that would be great! =)
