Please spell check this for me, its A Descriptive Passage on high ropes for school that must include a monologue, a simile and just plain descriptiveness for the senses (see, hear, feel etc)
The sky grew dark as night while I made my final daunting steps toward the end of the course. While I balanced on the spot, I could hear my own shuddery breathing as I made my way toward the end of the element and I tightly grasped the rough edge of the tree. I grabbed the cold staple tightly. The welcoming feeling of having a sturdy grip on something was like heaven in disguise. I had done it, I thought. I was the Ian Thorpe of the ropes, the King of the elements! The man waiting at the last tree ushered me toward the platform which hung frighteningly over thin air. The musty smell of the rain filled my nostrils as I nervously stepped onto the small metal platform. My immediate thought was how I was going to get down from the platform but couldn’t think right because the seemingly extreme height made me feel quite strange in my muscles. Gathering my thoughts after completing this most daunting element I heard the encouragement from my ant looking team-mates and was reminded of the ugly heights which I had to end the course by jumping into. As I looked down I saw my ant like friend giving me the thumbs up. Yeah, thanks for all your help… I was scared stiff like a lamp post. I couldn’t jump, it was terrifying. I grasped the tough rope and reassured myself that it would hold me down the end. I licked the salty sweat off my lips, gripped the rope until my knuckles turned white, closed my eyes, and jumped.
