Could we be in the beginning stage of a haunting?

I posted here a fe days ago about how I was up one night and I could have swore I heard voices (although very short/brief) in the next room, which is the kitchen. I also heard something metal fall but no one was in there. A couple days ago, my brother went into his room and called me in there and asked me if it smelled in there to me, which it did. It smelled with a horrible smell, as if something had died. He opened the window for a while to let the smell out and the smell hasn't returned. Even though we never found the source. And I heard horrible smells such as this could represent a demonic haunting. Then he said last night, he turned his TV off before going to sleep and woke up in the middle of the night and his TV was on. He had his window open too and after he came back home from picking me up from work, his window was closed. Then just now, we were in that room and I heard a faint growling type of sound. I thought it was just my imagination, but then my brother asked me if I heard that noise? What do you think? I'm not scared or anything, just want to know.
