Hello this is my first post. Im not sure if I have Raynaud's or even if what has been going on with me is worth talking to Dr about. Ive been doing a lot of reading online and no matter how I google It keeps coming up with Raynaud's but it keeps saying white fingers Ive seen photos of these white fingers very white. My fingers and my palms do go white but not to the point of the photos ive seen the back of my hand as well.

With my hands they are deep red and black my fingers esp get very black and my hands go black as well. If I run them under cold water or put them on something cold they go white but not ghostly white. The soles of my feet and sometimes the tops of my toes esp my big toe do go this colour but not much is said about the feet that I can find doing this white when I get them warm they go back to been purple, black my finger and esp my tips of my fingers go numb but only when they are cold and if they get cold and I have trouble getting them warm they get quiet painful.

My toes are always numb but when they get really cold they go very white and so do the soles of my feet sometimes both of my fingers and toes while have like arthritis type of pain in the joints my toes will also get a burning sensation as well to them. My hands palms and backs of my hands can also go very deep red like sunburn. Ive read about some people getting pain with this condition but it don't explain what the pain is like I seem to get 2 diff types of pain one in toes and fingers that are like an arthritis type of pain in my joints and the 2nd type of pain is get is when the get really cold its like they are painfully cold is the only way of explaining it. Do you always get the white white fingers or can they be like mine mostly all the time deep red and black. on the pic I have that is white my hands are normally olive skin so this is quiet white for my hand

I have lupus fibromyalgia and sjogren's

Sorry I know I posted this in the lupus section but got no replys so thinking maybe I posted it in the wrong place.

I think you should consult with your dr. about this. I was tested for Raynaud's several years ago, and did not have it, but they put my hands in ice cold water for a certain length of time, I can't remember exactly, it was very uncomfortable. Something is going on with your extremities, which should be checked out.

I'm not allowed to post any links, but tongue, nose and ears can be affected as well. Basically, any appendages so to say.

I don't know if consistently burning is a symptom, however...it would have to be change brought on by maybe something cold or from stress, etc if it were Raynaud's but I think I read somewhere that not all suffer from the extreme changes of blanching, etc..

I would suggest doing research for burning tongue...yes, it seems connected to certain diseases, but maybe allergy or medication.

Is your tongue possibly geographic tongue? does it turn red and raised in areas with a white outline?

I hope you get your answers...I have autoimmune and was tested for Sjogren's, but I don't have it. My sister and MIL have it.

What are all the meds you're on?

quincy

Raynaud's is very common with auto-immune disorders such as yours. I have Raynauds in both hands and feet and I have primary OA and RA with secondary Sjogrens and gout.

You might not have the typical but you can have it mildly. Again, very common. And the treatment is what they treat you with for your lupus and other disorders.

Hate those popsicle toes and fingers!

hugs.............Jenny

no its not geographic tongue and if I do have Raynaud's I think its a sep issue I don't find eating things like icecream a prob its cooling for my mouth even tho its just a min or so much better then hot food Ive looked it up and and it can be a symptom of the sjogrens or it can also be the folate like the dr said.folate can mimic B12 symptoms that is why dr do both when looking to be sure what one it is. But when looking for Raynaud's I can't find anything that says sometimes no white white fingers but you have and that is why I was asking I thank you so much for getting back to me.

Tongue ??? I have a burning tongue but I was told by Dr thinks it could because have folate deficiency I thought it may have had something to do with my Sjogren's but Im on folate tablets for 4 months see if that is going to help me at all. could you please tell me about tongue with Raynaud's please I have never heard anything about the tongue this is interesting to me.

Looks like Reynauds to me. It doesn't always affect people exactly the same way. Are you by chance taking a Beta blocker for blood pressure because it can cause Reynauds. I believe there may be other meds but BB do for many people.

Thank you so much everybody that took the time to have a look no I don't take BBs but that is a good thought I had read that. I went to Dr yesterday it is Raynaud's caused by my Lupus he wanted to give me meds he told me its pretty bad I told him no I did not want to take meds Ill have to give up smoking that is a good thing and keep myself warm he told me to get lambs wool gloves and woolen socks for my feet so I said I would rather try that then take drugs and if that don't work it will be the drugs but at least now I have an answer for sure. Thanks again everybody
