Could someone recommend a good book?

I'm fourteen, and I'm looking for a book with a lot of action. Not street violence, but ideally something sci-fi or alternate universe, maybe some "good vs evil" stuff, even. It would also be great if it had some romance in it, but that's not a requirement. Preferably not fantasy, but I'm open to anything.

Some examples of things that I've read like this:
Truancy - Isamu Fukui
Gone - Michael Grant
Uglies - Scott Westerfeld
