A few years ago I saw this anime on either adult swim or toonami but I cannot remember the name, it starts with a boy whose mom is mentally ill, and the is running from the cops or something, he follows this wind and is broght to another world ...
in this world he has a sort of hole on the back of his hand in which orbs of energy can be stored,
he then learns that large soldiers can also be stored in there and used to fight
his soldier is a large feathered soldier said to be very strong but uncontrolable till he comes
the girl who is friends with him has an aqua girl soldier that comes of of her hole in a necklace form on her neck
the next is a rich man who has a girl knight soldier, who dances and he ussually stands on her shoulders as she fights
finally the main characters mentor is a strong soldier as well - he is the champion but poor and lives on a farm - saying he doesnt need to be rich
