Could the ubiquitous home computer, in conjunction with "plug-in" medical testing devices lessen the skyrocketing cost of medical care?
The home computer could communicate with the doctor's computer and call for more comprehensive testing -- if required.
What are some devices that could be adapted to interface with the home computer:
blood sugar assayer?
blood pressure meter?
Or would the cost of such delicate instruments end up being so high that it wouldn't offer any advantage?
