Basically a friend questioned me on something I always do and then said I was ocd.
from a young age a girl at school told me that when you sneeze and someone blesses you and you say thank you, you have to clap or a fairy dies.
I still clap to this day after someone blesses me.
I know the whole fairy story is just a story, but I now do it out of habit, but find it hard to break that habit.
Other than that I have a little thing about forks, basically I won't eat from a fork that has been dipped deep into a sauce or that gas gotten dirty beyond a perticular point of the fork. I just don't lime the congealed food on there. I used to br much worse with this habit but am not as fussy now, but still to it at times.
Other than that very occasionally I will have to check I turned the oven off or shut the fridge. That's really not often at all and I know we all have done that now and again.
Other than those I don't think there is anything else.
In the past I used to be quite funny with food. Say if I was sharing a pizza with my bf(I was only comfortable doing it with him, but tried to secretly do it with friends without saying anything) I would tell him what slices he could have because I wanted the ones I thought looked better, with friend I would just try to turn the plate in my favor. The same went for most foods, he allowed me to choose what plate, meat, egg, toast, biscuit, veg I wanted. It got really bad, him having to confirm what plate was mine what piece of chicken was mine, what potatoes I wanted, every dinner time.
I have managed to get out of this habit, I told him not to allow me to choose and that I don't care what piece of food is mine and although I do that and get on with it, I still tend to compare plates and which I would of rather had, but only in my head, I never act on it anymore.
So basically do these sound like OCD traits or just strange quirks?
