I'm having an issue with a seller and have opened a dispute against them and am deciding if I should escalate it (if the seller doesn't agree).
I bought 2 Glee tickets. I paid $615, $600 for the tickets, $15 for fedex shipping. The seller didn't post the tickets on ebay (he's an ebay seller but I emailed him and asked if he had other tickets. He said he could send me a paypal invoice) I paid immediately and the seller said he was going to mail them out that day. It was a week later and I still hadn't received them, so I emailed him. He emailed me that he was sorry, but he had not sent them out yet. Then he emailed me the tickets. He never once told me they were e-tickets. He said he was going to ship them out and I assumed they were hard tickets. So I mentioned that since it took almost 10 day (9 to be exact) he should refund me my $15 for shipping. He then told me that he wouldn't because "It's not like the concert is a few days away, I still got the tickets in time." But he told me he was shipping the tickets out the day I paid.
So today, he said that he would give me my $15 back ONLY if I gave him a copy of my drivers license and if I don't there's no refund. I asked him why he couldn't just refund it back in my paypal, after all he took the money from that paypal account, but he said he wouldn't because he didn't know if I was who I said I was.
So I just opened a dispute. I only wanted my $15 back, but since he said he would only do it if I gave him my personal information, I have now asked for a FULL refund, because I'm afraid with how he is acting they aren't real tickets. He has 100% feedback, with over 100 people.
So if I was to escalate could I win? Am I in the wrong or is the seller? Do you think I can get a full refund?
