Could I transfer this entire game through a flash drive?

I was trying to install a game, but the disc was all scratched up. There's this one BIG scratch and I'm sure that's the one that screwed up the installation. When I first bought the game like 1 year and a half ago, I installed it onto my laptop, all fine and dandy. Now I'm trying to install it on my PC, which isn't going too well. I've tried multiple times, and i even tried copying all of the information to a new file on my computer, and installing it from there. Probably would've worked but I wasn't able to copy the entire disc-full of information because of that stupid scratch..

So now I'm wondering, could I copy the files from my laptop, transfer them through a flash drive to my PC, and install from there? I just don't feel like going through that for nothing -_- My father has a 10GB flash drive and the game is only about 6GB so I'm fine with that. There's only two things I'm worried about.
1- This will all just fail epically.
2- I install it successfully, but when I try to play the game, the faulty disc is gonna mess up the game play :(
I'm not as smart as I want to be when it comes to this, but I honestly don't feel like going and buying it again, though that will probably be what I resort to if this is a no-go.

Thanks for your patience in reading this, and even more thanks to the answers I get :D
