I'm curious....My maternal grandmother was "fully" a Jew and born to an Orthodox family, but given to a gentile family to hide her as a very little child. Her birth family was killed but she lived. She married a gentile German man had my mother and my mother also married a gentile German man and had me. I have grown up in Germany as a German, and without practicing the Jewish faith, but I never believed in Christianity. I was wondering if I wanted to start practicing Judaism could I immigrate to Israel as a Jew under the "law of return"? I do have my grandmother's birth parents' Ketubah from their Orthodox wedding.
My grandmother is not dead yet, she's 72 and lives in Berlin

My dear, you are Jewish 100% if your story is true - not that I mean to doubt you, but you might need proof. If it is you could return to Israel under the Law of Return. Speak to the Israeli Embassy or a consulate.
