Could I have Asthma?

Hello My name is Natalie And i am 20 from Southampton,
I live at a care home and been living here now for nearly 2 years,
Today i went to see my doctor as i have been quite unwell recently with a very bad viral Cold And my chest is really painful and have a very tight weezy chest,
My doctor didn't at all seem that happy And has now said today That it could be that i have Astma and it has some what freaked me out!

I know i am a smoker and will be giving it up very soon because i have had enough to with my constant bad chest.

Do you think i have Astma?
And could you tell me more about Astma, Id'e be really greatful if anyone has any info on Astma. :rolleyes:
 
You'll have to wait until after your cold to see if you really have Asthma and how active an Asthma you have.



Smoking is Asthma's and breathing's worst enemy. The hundred nasty chemicals in cigarette smoke is what causes the harm to the lungs and/or cancer, not the actual smoke. Having 100 toxic chemicals floating around in one's blood, through one's eyeballs, etc., is not a pleasant thought. :eek:

I am 26 i also live in a care home and have serve asthma, sounRAB to me like you ahve it too. dont worry its easy to control just take ur meRAB check ur breathing and call for help if you need ir..

g/l ask me any questions u have i have had asthma since i was born
