ok see today my brother-in-law johnny asked me if i would get a check put in my name and cash it for him. johnny himself couldnt cash it because his account was like froze or something like that. johnny was getting the check from a man he had done some work for. well johnny called the guy he worked for and told him to put the check in my name instead of johnnys. well the guy wrote the check out to me and i went to cash it but see what johnny and me didnt know was that the check was fake. johnny and me had no clue what so ever about it. when i went to cash it i told the lady at the bank id like to cash a check and she looked at the check, than at me and said "uhh no youre not" i said "excuse me?" she than asked me what my name was and she went to the back to call the man who had wrote the check. as i was waiting johnny came in the bank and told me to come outside for a moment. well when i got outside johnny told me to get in the car that we were leaving. right when he said that i knew something was wrong....i asked johnny what had happened. it turned out while i was in the bank trying to cash the check the man that johnny worked for, his wife called johnny and told him not to try and cash it because it was a fake check. after i heard that i started freaking out. i was even more terrified since johnny and me just up and left the bank. well when we got home johnny dropped me off and told me he would be back that he was going to go back to the bank to talk to that woman about the check. he said he was going to go talk to her and explain to her we didnt know anything about it... and now here i am sitting here waiting to know something....i am so scared right now, im past the point of tears.....johnny told me he was so sorry for having me do that, he told me if he knew for one second that check wasnt real he would have NEVER asked me to do that.... all i was trying to do was help johnny out because he needed that money for some bills and to buy some food for his kids....... will johnny and me get into trouble for this? and what about the guy who wrote the check out?? like i said we didnt know it was fake...johnny wouldnt have asked me to cash it if it was fake, and if i knew it was i sure as hell wouldnt have cashed it for him..im sorry this is so long..... im just really worried right now....can someone please tell me if me and johnny will get into trouble...and what about the guy johnny worked for???
