Diego City College for photography? Hello! I know there are a million similar postings, but I guess it's not the same when it's not specific to you! First some general information about me... I'm 26, currently living in Arizona. I'm thinking either before summer or right after, I will be moving to San Diego to attend classes at San Diego City College. I have my culinary degree and have been cooking since I was 15, so I don't think I'll have too much trouble finding a cooking job out there, but my true passion is photography and that's why I want to go to school for it. I also love the ocean and have been to San Diego a few times and really enjoyed it! Here are my questions:
1.) Have any of you been to SDCity or known someone who has? Is it a nice school? I hear they have a good photography program.
2.) Is the best way to find a place out there through craigslist? I think the most I'll be able to afford for rent will be $500, so it seems to be the most economical way.
3.) How is the job market when it comes to cooking? I understand photography is tough to get into pretty much anywhere and I'm assuming it's even tougher in San Diego, but I'm not sure.
4.) What specific areas should I search in for apartments that are proximal to SDCity?
5.) How much does it cost to register your car and get a drivers license there? It cost me about $430 to move to Arizona DMV. I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Thank you very much for all your info!
Chris
