could i get in trouble for a stolen bike being spray painted in my backyard?

It would more than likely be a misdemeanor,but yes you could be charged as an accessory.
As you aided and abetted an illegal act by giving him the ability to attempt to cover up a theft.
 
(these aren't there real names but its a lot easier telling a story with names)
Joe stole a bike and brought it to my house where i had given him spray paint to paint it, and then he gave it to bob who rode it and was caught with it. what trouble can i get it?
