With the success of DR WHO, could Christopher Eccleston play James Bond?

Perfect age, dark and rich actor, fit, presence.

A secret agent with a Northern accent?

Why not (if Broson is not asked again - but then again he should be...)

If Ecclestone didn't want to be typecast as the Doctor it's unlikely he'd risk the same thing with Bond if they offered it to him.

I wouldn't like to see him as Bond. The guy from the Transporter has shown interest in the role, would rather have in it than Ecclestone.

God no. Horribly overrated as the Doctor as it is. Bond, despite an incarnation as Roger Moore, has never been quite so cheesy as Eccleston.

And, yes, he's no where near good looking or suave enough.

Back to the drawing board.

Ecclestone is not a cheesy actor, he just had some fun with the Doctor. If you look at him in Cracker he was a superb actor. I think he'd be better as a Bond villain rather than 007 himself though.

Eccleston as Bond? :D

Nah, I think he's a good actor, but he's nowehere near a Bond.

After seeing Enduring Love I could put up with Craig, as he showed me that he is at least a terrific actor, after the Tomb Raider and Layer Cake debacles.

However, after seeing Closer and Sin City, just beg Clive Owen to do it tbh.
