Could energy drinks have caused a "relapse" in my bipolar mood swings?

I have bipolar disorder and take lithium as well as celexa and wellbutrin. I used to have terrible mood swings, from irritable and enraged to crying and staying in bed all day.
The past 2 years, I have really gotten better. I feel normal. But the last couple of weeks or so, I have regressed. it's been hell and scary too. Then my husband pointed out I had started drinking a lot of Monster coffee drinks. Does anybody think this is the problem? I quit drinking them yesterday. Will these horrible feelings pass?
Thanks

I do think that your husband has a point.
Stop drinking so much coffee, and see what happens...
Sometimes, the things put in coffee can contradict (I don't even think that's the word) your medicine...meaning, they aren't supposed to be taken together! And, can cause you to have such emotional distress.
Find out what chemicles are being used in your medicine and what's in your coffee...
G'luck!
BTW, Congratz on your progress!
