Marlow, took a foreign assignment as a ferry-boat captain and, after a long journey, he reached the river Congo; his job was to transport ivory downriver but, his real assignment was to return Kurtz to civilization.
When he arrived at the base of the company he found everything totally different to what he expected, in fact he saw how cruelly white man treated the black ones and the inefficiency of the Company station.
At that point he left the station to look for Kurtz, the agent the agent that should have been there to receive him, and he started a long journey in the deep jungle where he thought to go along again the different era and, when he reached the new Kurtz’s station, he had to fight with the natives...1st part
