Eliot and I am making a collage and my theme for the collage is "symbols" Could a modernist theme be symbols because modernists were trying to advance from one stage to another, attempting to simplify things by symbols. For example, a stanza explains the characteristics of a cat. For my collage, can I put a cat and the description explain the "cat symbol" ?
