Could a change in eating & exercise habits cause a late period and spotting?

A few months ago, I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and rarely exercised. For the last month or two, I've been eating a ton less and exercising more. Like, in the past I would come home from school and have candy and chips and play video games. Now I eat so little that at times I get dizzy and nauseous, and I've even passed out twice =p and I go for a walk for 1-2 hours every day. Two weeks ago, my period was late and I think the only reason it came was because I drank a cup of parsley tea (which is really gross). For the last two days now, I've been spotting or something because it is way too light to be a period and it's two weeks early. I've never had sex, so I know I'm not preggers. Thanks in advance for your answers. =)
