Cost to start a small photo studio?

This question is so ambiguous that it is almost impossible to answer.

In the first place, what sort of studio do you have in mind? How professional are you going to be? In what area of photography, specifically? Have you had any training? Do you have a clientele? Do you have a space?

And, I can think of 50 other questions you need to ask in order to get the correct information.

Count on one thing, however, and that is that it will be expensive. Probably more than you either realize or have. The list of expenditures goes on and on and will depend heavily on the area of specialization that you choose.

I must recommend that you get a job with a professional photographer for a while so you can get some ideas about what is involved in making your living doing photography. After you've studied with a professional for some time, you'll have a much better idea as to how you might proceed.

But, best of luck to you in your endeavors,
