Cost to replace transmission on 2000 ford mustang convertible?

i'm looking into buying a 2000 ford mustang convertible. it needs its transmission rebuilt, or a new transmission put in, does anybody know how much it would cost to get a transmission taken out of a car, rebuilt, and put back in, or how much it would cost to get the transmission out, and a new transmission put in?
