I have taken a 3day Motorcycle safety course and I am in the process of looking for a my first motorcycle (used). I have come across a 2002 Suzuki GS500 that I like. It has 4670 miles. I don't want to be talked into paying a lot more than the bike is worth, because I know they will tag on all these fees (gov fees, dealer prep etc) and I know I cant really avoid NY state tax / title.
I believe the 2009 has a MSRP of $4,399.00 , but because I am a new rider, I want a used bike.
I plan on paying for the motorcycle with cash (in full, no financing).
If they give me a reasonable price, I will most likely buy all future bikes / gear from them.
Please give me a range of prices of what the bike is probably worth and a range of what I can probably talk them down to.
